Once a year, for two consecutive weekends in June, Delaware is illuminated by the sights and sounds of the famous Hagley Fireworks. Members of the Hagley Museum take the lawn for an evening full of entertainment that includes more than just the festival of lights. An impressive combination of different vendors and music, along with the fireworks, come together to create a fun filled night of family activity. The vendors range from local food trucks, beverage connoisseurs, arts, crafts, and local businesses. Hagley became Delaware’s first Affiliate of the Smithsonian Institution in 2014. The museum sits on the historic DuPont powder yards, along the banks of the Brandywine River. Set on a immense property rich with a history of American business, Hagley naturally gives members an experience full of innovation and inspiration. The Rukket Sports Team joined the Hagley Museum’s mission this year, highlighted by the Rukket Sports feature at Kids Central at the Fireworks Show.
Intern Jamie Spruance headed the charge, setting up an arrangement of Rukket products for both children and their parents to enjoy at the Kids Central. Lax bros young and old had a blast shooting on the two Rukket 4x4 Goals. The Pop-Up Golf Target, a father favorite, brought a chipping range onto the Hagley Lawn. Finally, kids, parents, and grandparents had a blast trying to homers over the Barrier Net, using the Original Sock-It as a strike-zone and backstop.
